Tyler’s Weblog

Aside from the fact that this blog is a requirement for a class, I think that it would give me an opportunity to become more familiar with the blog world. I really have never had an interest in blogs because there aren’t very many rules dealing with accuracy with reports and the quality of information or comments. Yes, there are great things about blogs, but personally, if I want to hear someone I don’t know give his or her opinion about something… well… frankly I don’t really care. Maybe my opinion on blogs will change during the semester. Maybe they will change from being frustrated people who decide to rely on an online journal to get people to pay attention to them instead of… say… a stunning presence or maybe a hint of personality. Blogs are very important to the communications field, but frankly, I can find other ways to learn about communications. It is too easy to start getting information from a ten year old with a sippy cup and a plate of cookies. I would rather stick to people who make journalism and research their career.
